There is a proven and repeatable path to success and in this show that's exactly what Drew teaches you how to do. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. You don't have to start from scratch, if there's something you want to achieve someone has done it before or someone has done something similar in another industry.

All you have to do is follow the path to success that is clearly paved for you. In this show we'll go over just a few simple steps to help you get there.

For example the very first thing you need to do is decide what it is you want. Sounds too simply, no? The fact is, you won't be able to follow any other steps if you don't have the first one down.

After you decide you come up with a plan, after the plan you find an accountability partner, mentor and or coach.

From there we need to follow the path, stick with the plan and what may be the most challenging, we need patience. We need to give our plan time to develop which almost always takes longer than expected.

Dr. Trent Mozingo grew up on a small farm in Southeastern Indiana where he learned the hard work that goes into raising food from the ground up. With a large garden, farm-raised beef, pork, and chicken eggs, his family always had home-cooked meals that were raised on the farm.

Growing up, Dr. Mozingo never knew the value of his childhood education until he began his pursuit of becoming a chiropractor at Palmer College of Chiropractic. There he learned how the human body works, and he applied his childhood education to understand how food plays an important role in keeping the body working at its best.

Dr. Mozingo wrote his first book, The Weight Is Over, to help people understand the inner-workings of the human body and to help them take control of their own health. With great detail and reader-friendly analogies, The Weight Is Over takes the reader on a journey to build an understanding of how their health came apart, and how they can put it back together.

What may sounds like common sense to some, isn't for others. In this show I talk about being a good person, simply because I think we can all do a better job at positively contributing to making this world a better place.

Holding a door open for someone, not being such a rush that you're only thinking about yourself every time you get behind the wheel.

Saying please and thank you, are all ways to make this world a better place no matter how small or insignificant it sounds.

I share a story of a homeless person that rejected my help, and then I share a couple more stores of how we fed a homeless person and gave some money to another and they were more then grateful.

We can all do something small each day to make this world a better place and contribute to being a good person.

I hope this show help shine some light on that.

No it's not easy to wake up at 4am but that's what the rise and grind is all about. Consider waking up a bit earlier, consider the benefits of what it's like to get after it while everyone else is sleeping.

It reminds me of a famous quote from Thomas Jefferson. He said, if you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.

The truth is, most people aren't willing to put themselves in such a difficult situation to get what they want. Find a way to be more productive, get up while everyone is sleeping, not having to worry about someone texting you early or answer email after email because no on is emailing you back, they're sleeping!

In this show we talk about why we decided to get up at 4am and all the benefits we've found so far!

Sad to see so much trash, it almost makes me emotional. Maybe more so because so few care. It’s not that there isn’t people picking it up, it’s that we consume too much.

We don’t consider less waste, we don’t think about passing on a container or bringing our own.
And something as simple as commenting, liking or sharing a post like to raise awareness...we turn away and pretend we aren’t part of the problem or can't positively contribute.

This isn’t a far off destination, this is our backyard, this is our home, this is a destination many come to visit, enjoy and leave and don’t think about what we they left behind.

On top of that, we don’t consider our children, grandchildren and theirs to come by being conscious of what we’re using, buying and leaving behind.

What will come of our paradise? Where we travel, where will we enjoy a getaway and what about the people who call this paradise home?

There is a clear connection between sleep and sugar, unfortunately most people don’t see this connection or don’t realize that sugar is preventing them from getting a restful night sleep.

If you look at it as sugar being a stimulant then it might help you understand why have sugar throughout the day and especially at night will keep you up or prevent you from getting into that deep REM sleep.

It’s important to pay attention to our daily habits, for example if you’re regularly having sugary drinks and snacks right before bed while you’re watching your favourite netflix series or a movie.

Changing your habits to healthier ones will certainly make a difference.

There really is an Art to Reciprocation. Some may feel like it's common sense, but it's really not. Most people don't reciprocate for many reasons.

Maybe they don't know how, maybe they don't know they aren't. Maybe they don't know they're in a one way relationship and can't figure out why they have issues developing life long friends or why they struggle with co-workers or business relationships.

Reciprocation comes in many forms and it shows up in every day life no matter where you look. My point is, we need to reciprocate. We need to stop only thinking of ourselves and consider how someone else is doing, what they day is like and how we can help improve their day as well as ours.

Friends, family, intimate relationships, business connections...whatever you're looking to improve when it comes to a relationship, consider reciprocation at the root cause.

We are either reciprocating or we aren't.

If you want to do well in business you can’t exactly work once in awhile, or generate sales every couple weeks to be successful.

When you look at meal planning or nutrition 98% of people that fall off their nutrition track, do so because they weren’t consistent with meal planning their week in advance.

If you’re not dropping those inches or feeling better about yourself through exercise, there’s a very good chance it has everything to do with how consistent you are at getting your workouts in.

The truth is Fads, Fasts and Cleanses and don’t work. If they did everyone would join a fad and it would work and we’d all be happy and healthy and be at our ideal weight. The problem is, we love the idea of a quick fix.

Try something like a weekend fast to drop a few inches can do more damage than good. If it works that first time we’re in even more trouble because then all we’ll do is a weekend fast instead of pay attention to what we’re putting in our body all the time.

There are benefits to some fasts if you’re doing it for the right reasons. It’s important to figure out what you want out of a fast, what you’re doing it and question what the best way to achieve your goal is.

Tune it to find out real results that are sustainable and lasting, which is much different than a quick fad, fast or cleanse.

Guidance Professional Services Inc. practices up-to-date brain health therapies. GPS offers outpatient programs for addictions, trauma, depression, and anxiety and collaborative services with community partners such as fitness, yoga, acupuncture, art therapy and equine. Some conditions we are known for include trauma, anxiety, depression, and sports performance.

Stephen is extremely passionate about the brain and neurophysiology and how it impacts our daily lives. He has been on a learning and healing journey for a few years looking for the best brain-body therapies to help his patients heal deeply and completely. Stephen uses therapies, such as Brainspotting to access the deeper primitive parts of the brain to help patients process and release experiences and symptoms held in the brain and body. Other neuroscience components include Neurofeedback, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Heart Rate Variability Training, MATES Brain Regulation Program, and other nervous system techniques that are critical for helping patients move from state to state efficiently and effectively.

Stephen graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in April 2014 and has been Certified in Brainspotting since November 2016. It is important for therapies today to address the underlying physiology and maladaptive brain parts that make up a person’s symptoms or the symptoms will only be relieved in the short term, such as with medication, substances, etc. This includes a thorough Family of Origin intake, a good understanding of what the patient has experienced and how healthy their brain is currently. Stephen is on a quest to help patients heal fully to allow them to thrive, not just survive. At GPS, we are committed to helping the patient from a whole brain-body perspective in a comfortable safe, and welcoming environment.

I started this whole, wild ride because I was just searching for ways to improve and protect my family’s health (something I’m sure everyone can relate to). Before I knew it I was elbow deep, sifting through media fear mongering, false advertising, fad diets, and a nauseating amount of just plain stupid advice.

What I needed more than anything was someone to shoot it to me straight, someone to actually help!

And so instead of looking for her, I become her.

I couldn’t have known then how much of a health nerd I would turn into, how amazing I would find the design of the human body for optimal health, or how obsessed I would become in helping others build lifestyles (and legacies) that make them truly happy and healthy.

So that’s me!

You can expect me to be consistent in sharing useful and simple information. You can count on my excitement and dedication in motivating you in exactly the ways you need. You can trust that I am results oriented, and strategic towards giving you a life of freedom (and fun!). When I’m not totally geeking out on gut health topics, you can find me camping in the Rocky Mountains with my husband of 21 years and our two fantastic kids.

My favourite part of my job is that it feels like I treat friends all day long. I love to hear about your families, workout routines, new challenges you are facing at work, trips you are planning, and activities you are participating in. I enjoy treating patients of all ages, and hearing the giggles of children after getting adjusted, working with a pregnant mom and then meeting her new baby, and listening to the stories of my “snow birds” who have returned from a winter of golfing down South.

Knowing how important chiropractic care is to my health, I continue to be adjusted every week, so I can continue to play competitive water polo, keep up with my very active dog (Wattson, an Airedale), golf, learn how to play hockey, take time out to relax and enjoy my husband’s company, and function at my best.

When I’m not at the office or the pool, I volunteer with Rotary International, working directly with international youth exchange students, helping them learn our Canadian culture, and appreciate all that Canada has to offer. For those patients who speak French, I am also bilingual, and would really appreciate being able to practice my French, so please challenge me to do so!

Cori’s love of adventure, learning and laughter is the theme for her life. A seeker of truth, her passion to live a vibrant, healthy life was ignited during her first pregnancy. She studied voraciously and took action to bring a healthy child into the world. Years of farming, gardening and raising three healthy children close to nature, brought out a deep love for the earth.

Always seeking a better way, Cori found the most powerful tools available for personal growth and transformation. Her studies of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Reiki, Energy healing and other Mind/Body techniques expanded into private work with clients and workshops with groups.

She was captivated by the ancient wisdom of indigenous people around the world and especially studying those in Hawaii, North and South America. This ongoing 25-year journey has
been a deep dive into shamanic practices. Thirteen years ago, she built a Spirit Drum who has become her traveling companion for the songs and chants when hosting sacred healing fires
and drumming circles.

Her first book, “Vision Quest, A Spiritual Awakening,” was inspired by this indigenous practice of going into solitude, hers being 48 hours alone on a mountain. This journey in silence and trust with water but
no tent or food opened a connection and love for all life.

Cori’s latest book, “Choosing a Vibrant Life,” is filled with simple and inspiring ideas to create the life and health we really want by reclaiming our power of choice. Her work helps us claim our immense power to create a peaceful world where all can thrive.

Beautiful British Columbia, Canada is her home in summer and she finds adventure wherever the warm wind blows her at other times of the year, where she offers ceremonies and workshops internationally.

My name is Cori Black, I am currently a work from home ranch wife and mother of 3. I love working as a family and spending time together outdoors. I have a passion for teaching and caring for others. I especially love helping people consider and eliminate the common toxins in their environment that could be affecting both their own body and their family's!

As a former Elementary School Teacher I have always had an interest and curiosity in child development. How they grow and how they learn in the process is fascinating to me. Within a few short years of my teaching career, I started to feel like development was changing.

There seemed to be higher needs in a multitude of areas, entering the classroom each year with little explanation as to why. When it came time for me to have my first child I was highly invested in doing everything within my own control to keep that child safe and healthy. I began to slowly explore the ideas of eliminating toxins from my daily life and our home environment.

It started quite slowly one product at a time. As I used one up I'd try to replace it with a better option. I quickly learned all about "greenwashing" and the lack of regulation on words like natural and pure. I was disgusted at the marketing techniques used to push products that truly weren't any safer.

I was feeling out of options, very confused and frustrated reading labels. I sped up the process with a big garbage bag as I reached the point of feeling betrayed and decided to do something more drastic! A few months into this process my cousin and her sister introduced me to some products they were using as alternatives for their own families. I was of course skeptical but willing to take a look.

That's when the world of Essential Oils came into my life. I previously had no clue what they were or how to use them but was quite intrigued by what I was learning about them. Being a farm girl at heart it just made sense that plants, trees and all things grown in the earth could be trustworthy.(as long as I could find ones that I could trust were as good as they claimed to be.)

My exploration of basic Essential Oils was a complete eye opener for how I could begin to replace items in my home with something safer and much more effective. I discovered Young Living as a company of complete integrity and commitment to only produce the absolute best quality Essential Oils and oil infused products. I felt like I had hit the jackpot.

That was 5 years ago, and today I can't believe how exploring the option of Essential Oils has changed my family's life and our overall wellness. I have stepped back from my teaching position to be home with the most important people in my life, so that I can best care for them and myself during this season of life. I am proud to be teaching in a new avenue, sharing the message of choosing better for our families.

The risk of continuing on the path of endless toxins just isn't worth it. We get one body, and it's the only place we have to live. We best take good care of it! We are the gatekeepers of our homes and it's our job to be advocates for our own health in this ever changing world!

Join us for this Episode of Exploring Mind and Body as Drew and Dorothy talk about what it was like to welcome a homeless man into their home for the night.

Bing Bing Lei, spreading equal and unconditional love for all. Amazing individual walking around the world, homeless and won't accept money, only food donations and sometimes a place to stay.
When he asked, we didn't think twice. Why wouldn't you let someone stay with you that needed shelter? Why wouldn't you feed someone that was hungry?

Bing walked out of our lives as quietly and smoothly as he walked in. Wouldn't take food because he had enough, didn't want the lights on because he didn't want to waste energy. Didn't take up much space because he didn't need it.

He showered, washed his clothes, shared stories of living on the road and likely gave us much more than we gave him.

Tommy’s mission in life is to empower individuals and business leaders to rediscover their brilliance, achieve meaning, balance and true happiness in life without compromising their financial success. His work and legacy are to provide humans with the tools and skills to become the person they've always dreamed of being.

Beginning with Deloitte, Tommy achieved 20 years of business notoriety and financial success as a large firm financial consultant. However, he was unfulfilled, had lost balance and filled with unhealthy amounts of stress because he felt trapped in a prestigious career. Tommy felt forced to make decisions out of fear and scarcity instead of abundance. He felt like he did not have a choice.

His experiences led him to found Choose Goodness, a movement encouraging individuals and business organizations to search for unmet human needs that create transformational impact on themselves, their business, and society at large. Both Tommy and Choose Goodness provide both the rational and emotional perspectives to the strategic and financial decision-making process

Part CEO, part personal development wonk, and part biohacker info geek, Thom King is
a self-confessed serial entrepreneur. While his favorite book list contains many success-oriented and personal-development classics, the traditional definition of achieving success (e.g. make a lot of money) is not what inspires or motivates King. He follows more of a “you aren’t doing well unless you’re also doing some good” line of thinking. King’s company has been built around the simple principle of
“do the right thing.”

In 1999, Thom’s personal passion for food and his concern over the explosion of metabolic disease led him to found Steviva Brands, now known as Icon Foods, with a mission to stem the tide of “diabesity” by providing consumers healthy alternatives to sugar. In recent years, his passion for food and optimal health have intersected with his embrace of a ketogenic (low carb, high fat) diet. Thom’s latest project is a line of ketogenic condiments intended to help more people successfully adopt a healthier lifestyle.

His background, in risk management, served him well when he lost 1/3 of his team, in the World Trade Center attacks, on 9/11.  Since that time, he has started, bought and sold several multi-million dollar businesses making him a sought after, cross-industrial resource for entrepreneurs and executives in all stages of business.

Thor has a talent for slicing through the noise of every day distractions and bringing his clients and audiences intellectual commodities like his: “Ultimate Success Map”, a simplistic, easy-to- follow guide for individuals who need to break through to the next level of achievement.

96% of business fail within 10 years.  The ONLY reason they fail is lack of Profits.  Of the 4% that do survive, many only produce enough profits to break even, pay the owner a meager wage or provide shareholders below market returns.  Mr. Conklin’s extensive background and expertise allows him to not only identify the specific profitability killers that are siphoning off profits but work with the business to fix them.  Despite the leader’s best efforts, many business owners and executive cannot see these profitability killers as they are too close to the company.

Thor’s gritty, no nonsense and direct approach uncovers the real truth about what is holding people and organizations back from realizing their full potential.  He can illuminate even the most successful and confident leader’s limiting beliefs. He is known as the Accountability & Execution Guy.

You may also have heard him on ABC, WGN, and/or CBS radio, or UPN TV. Disillusioned by what traditional psychology had to offer overweight and/or food obsessed individuals, Dr. Livingston spent several decades researching the nature of bingeing and overeating via work with his own patients AND a self-funded research program with more than 40,000 participants. Most important, however, was his own personal journey out of obesity and food prison to a normal, healthy weight and a much more lighthearted relationship with food.

I am a life long resident of Red Deer and over my life span I have worked for a corporation, owned small businesses and been involved in several non profit boards. I have been married to my wife Cindy for 35 years and had 4 children, John my oldest then James, Stephanie and Lindsey. The Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce has been my job for the last 14 years in my role as manager of membership & community relations. Our lives were turned upside down with the loss of our youngest daughter Lindsey.

Lindsey took her life 2 years ago at the age of 22 suffering from depression, an illness we never knew she battled. I have been down a road no parent ever wants to go down and on this journey I am trying to learn about mental health and depression. After Lindsey’s death Cindy and I started a self-directed endowment fund in honor of our amazing daughter.

November of 2015 we started Smiles Thru Lindsey Foundation to raise funds for mental health in our youth. In the short 2 years the foundation has raised close to $250,000 from many fund raising events that have been created by our business community. We will continue to finance programs that will impact our youth that have suffered this illness alone because of the many stigmas surrounding this topic.

Recently we have given $10,000 to the Catholic Schools for mental Health First Aid and just yesterday donated $10,000 to public schools for resources to help students from K- Grade 5. I will continue to advocate the Government to implement and direct health care dollars to mental health.
