What may sounds like common sense to some, isn't for others. In this show I talk about being a good person, simply because I think we can all do a better job at positively contributing to making this world a better place.

Holding a door open for someone, not being such a rush that you're only thinking about yourself every time you get behind the wheel.

Saying please and thank you, are all ways to make this world a better place no matter how small or insignificant it sounds.

I share a story of a homeless person that rejected my help, and then I share a couple more stores of how we fed a homeless person and gave some money to another and they were more then grateful.

We can all do something small each day to make this world a better place and contribute to being a good person.

I hope this show help shine some light on that.

No it's not easy to wake up at 4am but that's what the rise and grind is all about. Consider waking up a bit earlier, consider the benefits of what it's like to get after it while everyone else is sleeping.

It reminds me of a famous quote from Thomas Jefferson. He said, if you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.

The truth is, most people aren't willing to put themselves in such a difficult situation to get what they want. Find a way to be more productive, get up while everyone is sleeping, not having to worry about someone texting you early or answer email after email because no on is emailing you back, they're sleeping!

In this show we talk about why we decided to get up at 4am and all the benefits we've found so far!

Sad to see so much trash, it almost makes me emotional. Maybe more so because so few care. It’s not that there isn’t people picking it up, it’s that we consume too much.

We don’t consider less waste, we don’t think about passing on a container or bringing our own.
And something as simple as commenting, liking or sharing a post like to raise awareness...we turn away and pretend we aren’t part of the problem or can't positively contribute.

This isn’t a far off destination, this is our backyard, this is our home, this is a destination many come to visit, enjoy and leave and don’t think about what we they left behind.

On top of that, we don’t consider our children, grandchildren and theirs to come by being conscious of what we’re using, buying and leaving behind.

What will come of our paradise? Where we travel, where will we enjoy a getaway and what about the people who call this paradise home?

There is a clear connection between sleep and sugar, unfortunately most people don’t see this connection or don’t realize that sugar is preventing them from getting a restful night sleep.

If you look at it as sugar being a stimulant then it might help you understand why have sugar throughout the day and especially at night will keep you up or prevent you from getting into that deep REM sleep.

It’s important to pay attention to our daily habits, for example if you’re regularly having sugary drinks and snacks right before bed while you’re watching your favourite netflix series or a movie.

Changing your habits to healthier ones will certainly make a difference.

There really is an Art to Reciprocation. Some may feel like it's common sense, but it's really not. Most people don't reciprocate for many reasons.

Maybe they don't know how, maybe they don't know they aren't. Maybe they don't know they're in a one way relationship and can't figure out why they have issues developing life long friends or why they struggle with co-workers or business relationships.

Reciprocation comes in many forms and it shows up in every day life no matter where you look. My point is, we need to reciprocate. We need to stop only thinking of ourselves and consider how someone else is doing, what they day is like and how we can help improve their day as well as ours.

Friends, family, intimate relationships, business connections...whatever you're looking to improve when it comes to a relationship, consider reciprocation at the root cause.

We are either reciprocating or we aren't.

The Benefits of Being Consistent are endless really. We could think about just about anything and connect being consistent with results. If  you want to do well with exercise and nutrition, consistency is a must.

If you want to do well in business you can’t exactly work once in awhile, or generate sales every couple weeks to be successful.

When you look at meal planning or nutrition 98% of people that fall off their nutrition track, do so because they weren’t consistent with meal planning their week in advance.

If you’re not dropping those inches or feeling better about yourself through exercise, there’s a very good chance it has everything to do with how consistent you are at getting your workouts in.

I have been always active as a person being involved with sports like hockey, cycling, soccer, etc.. and enjoy the outdoors when I have time off from my job.

When I went through my divorce 3 years ago now, I looked at myself in the mirror and didn't like what I saw. With raising kids and being what I thought was a good marriage, I honestly let myself go a bit. So what better time than to get myself back into fitness.

The truth is Fads, Fasts and Cleanses and don’t work. If they did everyone would join a fad and it would work and we’d all be happy and healthy and be at our ideal weight. The problem is, we love the idea of a quick fix.

Try something like a weekend fast to drop a few inches can do more damage than good. If it works that first time we’re in even more trouble because then all we’ll do is a weekend fast instead of pay attention to what we’re putting in our body all the time.

There are benefits to some fasts if you’re doing it for the right reasons. It’s important to figure out what you want out of a fast, what you’re doing it and question what the best way to achieve your goal is.

Tune it to find out real results that are sustainable and lasting, which is much different than a quick fad, fast or cleanse.

Stephen is extremely passionate about the brain and neurophysiology and how it impacts our daily lives. He has been on a learning and healing journey for a few years looking for the best brain-body therapies to help his patients heal deeply and completely. Stephen uses therapies, such as Brainspotting to access the deeper primitive parts of the brain to help patients process and release experiences and symptoms held in the brain and body. Other neuroscience components include Neurofeedback, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Heart Rate Variability Training, MATES Brain Regulation Program, and other nervous system techniques that are critical for helping patients move from state to state efficiently and effectively.

Stephen graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in April 2014 and has been Certified in Brainspotting since November 2016. It is important for therapies today to address the underlying physiology and maladaptive brain parts that make up a person’s symptoms or the symptoms will only be relieved in the short term, such as with medication, substances, etc. This includes a thorough Family of Origin intake, a good understanding of what the patient has experienced and how healthy their brain is currently. Stephen is on a quest to help patients heal fully to allow them to thrive, not just survive. At GPS, we are committed to helping the patient from a whole brain-body perspective in a comfortable safe, and welcoming environment.

I started this whole, wild ride because I was just searching for ways to improve and protect my family’s health (something I’m sure everyone can relate to). Before I knew it I was elbow deep, sifting through media fear mongering, false advertising, fad diets, and a nauseating amount of just plain stupid advice.

What I needed more than anything was someone to shoot it to me straight, someone to actually help!

And so instead of looking for her, I become her.

I couldn’t have known then how much of a health nerd I would turn into, how amazing I would find the design of the human body for optimal health, or how obsessed I would become in helping others build lifestyles (and legacies) that make them truly happy and healthy.

So that’s me!

You can expect me to be consistent in sharing useful and simple information. You can count on my excitement and dedication in motivating you in exactly the ways you need. You can trust that I am results oriented, and strategic towards giving you a life of freedom (and fun!). When I’m not totally geeking out on gut health topics, you can find me camping in the Rocky Mountains with my husband of 21 years and our two fantastic kids.

My favourite part of my job is that it feels like I treat friends all day long. I love to hear about your families, workout routines, new challenges you are facing at work, trips you are planning, and activities you are participating in. I enjoy treating patients of all ages, and hearing the giggles of children after getting adjusted, working with a pregnant mom and then meeting her new baby, and listening to the stories of my “snow birds” who have returned from a winter of golfing down South.

Knowing how important chiropractic care is to my health, I continue to be adjusted every week, so I can continue to play competitive water polo, keep up with my very active dog (Wattson, an Airedale), golf, learn how to play hockey, take time out to relax and enjoy my husband’s company, and function at my best.

When I’m not at the office or the pool, I volunteer with Rotary International, working directly with international youth exchange students, helping them learn our Canadian culture, and appreciate all that Canada has to offer. For those patients who speak French, I am also bilingual, and would really appreciate being able to practice my French, so please challenge me to do so!

Born and raised in Calgary, I grew up participating in a lot of sports such as  ballet, horseback riding, wrestling, rugby, and swimming.  I have always enjoyed helping people which led me into the wonderful world of massage therapy.

My journey in the massage world started with a 3000 hour massage program. I enjoy assisting people in learning more about their body and how they can live a healthy, fun life while preventing pain and injury.

I enjoy doing therapeutic treatments on injuries and whiplash cases using traditional techniques as well as cupping and RAPID techniques.

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset, is a new soft tissue, movement based, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous systems role in alleviating tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Outside of massage I enjoy spending time being active and working with my dog and 3 horses.

Cori’s love of adventure, learning and laughter is the theme for her life. A seeker of truth, her passion to live a vibrant, healthy life was ignited during her first pregnancy. She studied voraciously and took action to bring a healthy child into the world. Years of farming, gardening and raising three healthy children close to nature, brought out a deep love for the earth.

Always seeking a better way, Cori found the most powerful tools available for personal growth and transformation. Her studies of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Reiki, Energy healing and other Mind/Body techniques expanded into private work with clients and workshops with groups.

She was captivated by the ancient wisdom of indigenous people around the world and especially studying those in Hawaii, North and South America. This ongoing 25-year journey has
been a deep dive into shamanic practices. Thirteen years ago, she built a Spirit Drum who has become her traveling companion for the songs and chants when hosting sacred healing fires
and drumming circles.

Her first book, “Vision Quest, A Spiritual Awakening,” was inspired by this indigenous practice of going into solitude, hers being 48 hours alone on a mountain. This journey in silence and trust with water but
no tent or food opened a connection and love for all life.

Cori’s latest book, “Choosing a Vibrant Life,” is filled with simple and inspiring ideas to create the life and health we really want by reclaiming our power of choice. Her work helps us claim our immense power to create a peaceful world where all can thrive.

Beautiful British Columbia, Canada is her home in summer and she finds adventure wherever the warm wind blows her at other times of the year, where she offers ceremonies and workshops internationally.
