In this episode of Exploring Mind and Body Host, Drew Taddia talks about Creating Your Beach Life.

It’s not necessarily about where you are, it’s more so about what you want. It’s about deciding what you want out of life, creating the life of your dreams and living it everyday.

Drew talks about not having to ‘vacation’ from you life a week out of the year. It’s about living your life to the fullest, it’s about following your dreams and making them happen.

Join him on this show as he talks about Creating Your beach life regardless of whether it’s on an island or in your own back yard!

My favourite part of my job is that it feels like I treat friends all day long. I love to hear about your families, workout routines, new challenges you are facing at work, trips you are planning, and activities you are participating in. I enjoy treating patients of all ages, and hearing the giggles of children after getting adjusted, working with a pregnant mom and then meeting her new baby, and listening to the stories of my “snow birds” who have returned from a winter of golfing down South.

Knowing how important chiropractic care is to my health, I continue to be adjusted every week, so I can continue to play competitive water polo, keep up with my very active dog (Wattson, an Airedale), golf, learn how to play hockey, take time out to relax and enjoy my husband’s company, and function at my best.

When I’m not at the office or the pool, I volunteer with Rotary International, working directly with international youth exchange students, helping them learn our Canadian culture, and appreciate all that Canada has to offer. For those patients who speak French, I am also bilingual, and would really appreciate being able to practice my French, so please challenge me to do so!

Dr. Ann-Marie Barter is on the cutting edge of holistic healthcare.  As a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner, she helps people get out of pain and reach their maximum potential through her unique approach she has developed after studying under some of the finest minds in her field.

Dr. Barter has always had a mind for high level problem solving. In her early 20's she was introduced to chiropractic, whereas she had been very skeptical until it changed her life. The treatment was like magic - she felt new and light, like a better version of herself.

She immersed herself in school, learning not only the art and science of chiropractic modalities, but also functional blood chemistry analysis, nutrition, applied kinesiology and natural remedies. She now specializes in difficult functional medicine cases, helping people with issues concerning their thyroid, blood sugar, gut health and hormone dysfunction as well as other metabolic conditions.

Dr. Barter went to Chiropractic school at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, but when she found out her mother was diagnosed with late stage cancer they moved to Colorado to fulfill her mother’s dream and she opened her first practice.  These days Dr. Barter can be found dancing, skiing, running, practicing yoga, biking, hiking, practicing barre or walking her Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ritz.
