Guidance Professional Services Inc. practices up-to-date brain health therapies. GPS offers outpatient programs for addictions, trauma, depression, and anxiety and collaborative services with community partners such as fitness, yoga, acupuncture, art therapy and equine. Some conditions we are known for include trauma, anxiety, depression, and sports performance.

Stephen is extremely passionate about the brain and neurophysiology and how it impacts our daily lives. He has been on a learning and healing journey for a few years looking for the best brain-body therapies to help his patients heal deeply and completely. Stephen uses therapies, such as Brainspotting to access the deeper primitive parts of the brain to help patients process and release experiences and symptoms held in the brain and body. Other neuroscience components include Neurofeedback, the Safe and Sound Protocol, Heart Rate Variability Training, MATES Brain Regulation Program, and other nervous system techniques that are critical for helping patients move from state to state efficiently and effectively.

Stephen graduated from Yorkville University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in April 2014 and has been Certified in Brainspotting since November 2016. It is important for therapies today to address the underlying physiology and maladaptive brain parts that make up a person’s symptoms or the symptoms will only be relieved in the short term, such as with medication, substances, etc. This includes a thorough Family of Origin intake, a good understanding of what the patient has experienced and how healthy their brain is currently. Stephen is on a quest to help patients heal fully to allow them to thrive, not just survive. At GPS, we are committed to helping the patient from a whole brain-body perspective in a comfortable safe, and welcoming environment.

I recently moved here from Newfoundland, where I was practicing as a Manual Osteopath. I obtained a B.A along with a Medical Degree (MD), that allowed me the opportunity to travel worldwide to complete my clinical rotations. This exposed me a variety of challenging health care conditions and geographically unique experiences. Wellness and health care modalities have comprised the past 11 years of my education, including becoming a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner!

My treatments can assist anyone. I have worked on a full spectrum of individuals from infants onward. It is my passion to provide the most all-encompassing, balanced and complete care to my clients. Together with my clients, I thrive on achieving fast long-lasting results.  Treatments are catered and specialized to each individual needs and lifestyle. My approach goes far beyond the session and into your daily lives and practices in order to improve not only your pain but your life, so that you can focused on living.

Manual osteopathy can treat nearly everything, the most common being TMJ, postural discomfort, joint pain, whiplash, headaches, injuries, slipped disk, arthritis, sciatica, neuralgia, frozen shoulder, sport performance, lower back pain, sinuses, carpal tunnel etc.

I guess, now when I am not treating, I will explore this beautiful province, therefore I am open to any interesting suggestions!! I will also be in search of friends for Jack my Great Dane and am always up for puppy dates!
