I started this whole, wild ride because I was just searching for ways to improve and protect my family’s health (something I’m sure everyone can relate to). Before I knew it I was elbow deep, sifting through media fear mongering, false advertising, fad diets, and a nauseating amount of just plain stupid advice.
What I needed more than anything was someone to shoot it to me straight, someone to actually help!
And so instead of looking for her, I become her.
I couldn’t have known then how much of a health nerd I would turn into, how amazing I would find the design of the human body for optimal health, or how obsessed I would become in helping others build lifestyles (and legacies) that make them truly happy and healthy.
So that’s me!
You can expect me to be consistent in sharing useful and simple information. You can count on my excitement and dedication in motivating you in exactly the ways you need. You can trust that I am results oriented, and strategic towards giving you a life of freedom (and fun!). When I’m not totally geeking out on gut health topics, you can find me camping in the Rocky Mountains with my husband of 21 years and our two fantastic kids.

Carol Burke has lived in Olds since she was married 49 years ago. A proud mother of 2 children and is lucky to have 4 grandchildren. She absolutely loves to exercise and decided to do her first run at the age of 50 years old and ever since then, she has been hooked.
This summer, she will be turning 69 years young and she doesn’t expect to slow down anytime soon. She began with 5km, then moved to 10km and on to ½ marathons before completing a full marathon 2 years ago!
Along with running, Carol enjoys taking part in many fitness classes and also enjoys backpacking. Part of staying active, she also enjoys eating healthy but does treat herself with a little sugar here and there!
As Carol would say, ‘Do It, or Lose It!’
